BG Pathum United has unveiled the signing of Singaporean forward, Ilhan Fandi.

The 21-year-old has been without a club since his contract expired with KMSK Deinze. Injuries have hampered Ilhan’s game time with the Belgian 2nd tier side, limiting him to just one senior appearance. He did, however, featured regularly for the Under-21 & reserve side where he netted 8 goals in 15 appearances.

Ilhan’s move to Deinze, came after a breakout season with Albirex Niigata in 2022 where he scored 20 goals in all competitions, forming a lethal partnership with former Japanese international, Tadanari Lee.

Unfortunately, he suffered a heartbreaking setback to the start of his European career, where he was ruled out for more than 6 months from an ACL injury during an AFF game against Vietnam in January 2023 at Jalan Besar.

The move to BG will reunite him with his elder brother Ikhsan, who only just announced a contract extension till 2027. While his eldest brother Irfan Fandi recently made his transfer from the Rabbits to join fellow Thai League 1 side, Port FC, after spending 5 season with the Rabbits.
