The Eastern derby will have a new home for the upcoming Singapore Premier League season.
Based on the fixture list released by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), all home games for BG Tampines Rovers & Geylang International will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium (JBS).

Maintenance work at OTH
It is understood that the pitch at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) will undergo field restoration works for a period of time. As a result, the two eastern clubs will temporarily relocate for the new season.
Return by 2025-2026
The two clubs will be looking to make their return to Our Tampines Hub stadium by the start of the 2025-
2026 Singapore Premier League (SPL) season.
The move will mean that Jalan Besar Stadium will now be home to 4 SPL clubs – including Young Lions & Hougang United, meaning close to half the SPL games will be played at the same venue this year.
The use of the artificial pitch has had it’s fair share of criticisms over the years, especially with players suffering from injuries. It’s most notable victim was Ilhan Fandi – the 2022 SPL Young Player of the Year tore his ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) on artificial Jalan Besar pitch against Vietnam in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup.
Away day in Brunei
The new season will also see the return of Brunei DPMM to their home ground at the Sultan Hassanal
Bolkiah National Stadium. The two-time league champions will be playing their home matches in
Bandar Seri Begawan for the duration of the season.
The Bruneian oufit previously played their home matches at the Jalan Besar Stadium during the 2023 SPL season while their home stadium was undergoing major renovation works.
